I've just got back from a really great few days at Encounters short film festival in Bristol. Well worth a visit for short film lovers - I saw some amazing shorts - and some Screen East funded films were also there which is great. Seeing our films on the big screen is a real buzz. Well done to all our filmmakers who had films in competition and other screenings - they looked fab!

 Just a quick update on Digi Shorts - We have finally read all 112 scripts and I am now working my way through all the showreels. There's some great stuff in there so it's hard to make a shortlist - but we will get there and make 'the calls' on Friday 4th. Fingers crossed!

For those people who missed the deadline and want to know what is happening next year - an announcement will be made but we don't have firm deadline dates yet. Watch this space!
